Joseph (Joe) H. Baldwin - 1943
Joseph Baldwin graduated from Technical High in 1943. Joe was the husband of the late Shirley Kirby. They had 2 sons, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1943 and served 28 months overseas. He played baseball for Tech High in 1942 and 1943. He also played on 2 Navy All Star Teams at the end of the war.
He was elected to the Bellevue (Nebraska) City Council in 1967 and served for 6 years - 3 years as President. He was also elected as Mayor of Bellevue from 1982 - 1986. He served on the Board of Directors for the US Air Force Association, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, and the St Columbans Festival Committee (44 years).
He was employed by Industrial Electrical Works in Omaha for 34+ years and retired from the Army Corp of Engineers as an Electrical Technician. He retired in 1982. Joe is an active volunteer in his community.
He currently resides in Bellevue, Nebraska.
