James (Jim) J. Jensen - 1951
Jim Jensen is a 1951 graduate of Tech High. He married former Tech graduate Joan Vecara (Class of 1954). They have 5 children and 15 grandchildren. Jim attended Omaha University and Grace University.
Jim's career began after he graduated from Technical High and went into construction, working first as a carpenter and later as a foreman and superintendent. In 1960 he formed his own construction company (Jensen Construction). After serving on the Omaha Zoning Board of Appeals for 7 years, he was elected to the Nebraska Legislature from District 20 in 1994.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys fishing, building houses, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and doing volunteer work.
Jim and his wife reside in Omaha, Nebraska.
