Dean Johnson - 1953


Dean Johnson graduated from Technical High in 1953. From 1953 to 1955, Dean was signed by the St Louis Cardinals Baseball Club, playing in the St Joseph and Paducah, KY Cardinals Farm Club.


He obtained a B.S. in Education in 1959 from Omaha University. In 1963, he received his Master of Education degree from Omaha University (now UNO). After graduation Dean taught school and went on to become a school administrator.


From 1966 to 1977, Dean and a partner invested in an Arby's franchise when the food chain was only 3 years old. In 1977 Dean left the partnership and went out on his own as an Arby's franchisee. Dean is currently the CEO of DRM, Inc., a family owned company that owns and operated 55 Arby Roast Beef Restaurants located in four states .. Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.


Dean and his wife, Rosemary, reside in Omaha, Nebraska. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
