Darrell Foster - Tech Teacher
Darrell was commissioned an Ensign from Columbia University in New York City. He saw duty in the South Pacific & Guadalcanal abord an LSM. After the war, he returned to college at Maryville State University at Maryville MO. He then received his BS in Education from Northwestern Missouri State University. He received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Drake University.
Darrell began his teaching career in Coffee, MO, where he coached boys & girls basketball. From there he moved to Iowa and taught for 9 years. In 1955 he moved to Omaha and began teaching Math at Tech. During his 29 years at Tech, Darrell spent 5 years as a Counsellor - 25 years as Dept. Chairman or Division Chairman - and 1 year as Assistant Principal.
Retiring in 1985, Darrell and his wife Faith moved to Venice, Florida, where they enjoy golf and doing volunteer work as well as traveling. He has 2 children, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
