Edward J. York - 1958


Ed retired from Exxon Mobil after serving as Western, Central and Eastern U. S. Manager. Ed is a recipient of four U. S. patents. He became U. S. Vice President for largest insurance Broker Co. in the U.S.A. Ed created York Petroleum Industries, an insurance firm insuring 3500 Exxon dealers and jobbers.


Ed was class President at Hastings College; number 1 sales manager in the USA for 11 of 13 years at QVC (Home Shopping Network. York's Patented Auto Tray was selected as one of the Top 25 inventions in the USA for 1989.


Ed is also a volunteer with Young Life, a Christian Youth Organization, volunteer with Meals on Wheels, a Mentor for youth and the Red Cross.


Ed created York Industries in 1989 to market his inventions, many of which are used by the military today. York came up with equipment covers that keep out the desert sand and can withstand high winds, he also created a polyurethane paint that prevents the camouflage on tanks and trucks from fading.


When Ed sees a problem his only problem is how long will it take him to come up with a solution.
